BINDED SPIRITS

AND CURSED OBJECTS

THE CURSED BOX: AN OBJECT OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN LINKED TO DISTURBANCES AND DISAPPEARANCES

Suspicious box linked to multiple unexplained phenomena, including paranormal activity, sudden illnesses, and in some cases... missing persons.

For years, the so-called “Cursed Box” was treated like an urban legend — a modern digital myth shared on niche forums, TikTok threads, and late-night YouTube channels dedicated to the unexplained.

A growing number of unexplained disappearances appear to be connected to the same object — or more disturbingly, to multiple versions of it.

And unlike most internet folklore, this one leaves something behind. Online researchers believe modern “unboxing culture” may have accelerated the spread.

In recent years, mystery packages and antique hauls have become a popular form of content on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

Some speculate the boxes were deliberately introduced into these circles — targeted at creators who thrive on mystery, attention, and virality.

Vinctum in tenebris, redi ad locum tuam. Per sanguinem et voluntatem, claudam te iterum. Non spiritus, non daemon, hic non manebis!

Translation: Bound in darkness, return to your place… By flame and blood, your path is sealed. Neither spirit nor demon - You will not remain here.

A Pattern Too Consistent to Ignore

At this point, investigators can no longer dismiss the pattern as coincidence.

Across at least fifteen reported cases between 2020 and 2025, individuals who interacted with the box experienced similar behavioral changes in the days leading up to their disappearance.

Several reported victims became increasingly withdrawn, obsessed with the object, and paranoid.

“They all said the same thing,” explained private investigator Jonah Marks, who has assisted with several of the cases.

“That it didn’t feel like a box anymore. That it felt like something waiting.”

More Than One Box

What troubles authorities further is that there is no single artifact.

Evidence now suggests multiple boxes have been distributed across the U.S. and parts of Europe, likely over a period of several years.

Despite variations in size, color, and craftsmanship, each box shares a consistent internal feature: A faint circular marking engraved into the inside of the lid. The symbol of an ancient evil linked to an occult called “The Obscurians”.

BEYOND THE MYSTERY: BEAUTY INFLUENCER VANISHES AFTER RECEIVING MYSTERIOUS PACKAGE

What happened to Ellis Wong?

On July 21, 2020, fans and followers of popular makeup creator Ellis Wong awoke to a chilling reality: the 27-year-old content creator, known for her beauty tutorials and on-camera presence, has vanished without a trace after posting a series of deeply unsettling videos that have since spread across the internet.

Wong, who had over 500K followers across Cliqlak, and YouTube, was last seen leaving a late-night studio space in Koreatown around 1:17 a.m. Surveillance footage shows her walking alone — looking over her shoulder repeatedly — as if she believed she was being followed.

The mystery deepened when local businesses near BetterWork Creative Studio, where Ellis had rented space for filming content, released their security footage. Security footage from across the street captures her speaking to the air beside her.

Police officials who reviewed the footage are calling her movements “erratic and defensive,” consistent with someone who believed they were under surveillance or being followed.

“She wasn’t walking normally, and she was scanning her surroundings like someone was following her” said officer Jane Rhodes who reviewed the footage.

Ellis Wong’s family released a short statement Tuesday: “Our only focus is bringing Ellis home safely. We ask the public to stop spreading manipulated content and allow investigators to do their job.”

While no official statement has been made, several unnamed sources within law enforcement hinted that certain “unusual artifacts” are sometimes transferred to federal evidence facilities without public disclosure.
